RAGE TO RESET: MY ENERGY PAYS THE BILLS

LET US BEGIN
Money is not the only thing people spend carelessly. Attention is currency too, and most people are walking around emotionally overdrafted. Every distraction asks for it. Every argument charges interest. Every unnecessary obligation quietly withdraws from an account most people never bother checking until they are exhausted, irritated, and wondering why they cannot think straight.
I have become much more protective of where I spend my attention because energy creates everything else. When my mind is constantly occupied by drama, I do not create. I do not write. I do not think clearly. I simply react, and reacting all day is not a personality. It is a nervous system begging for better management.
Protect your energy is not some soft little wellness quote slapped on a beige candle. It is strategy. It means auditing my emotional investments the same way I would examine a financial statement. Who consistently adds value? Who consistently creates confusion? What habits leave me stronger? What habits leave me mentally bankrupt? The answers usually tell the truth before my ego is ready to hear it.
The world rewards urgency, which is convenient for everyone trying to get access to me without earning it. An email, a text, a notification, an opinion, a controversy, a crisis that magically becomes mine because someone else refuses to manage their own life. Very little of it deserves immediate access to my attention. The most productive people are not always the busiest. They are usually the most selective.
The reset is not about becoming cold. It is about becoming intentional. I can care deeply without carrying everything. I can be compassionate without volunteering for unnecessary stress. I can love people without surrendering my peace. Rage may be the spark that gets my attention, but the reset is what changes my life. My energy belongs where it has a return, not where it disappears without appreciation.
