Greetings! My name is Hawsé Sumi and I am the proud owner of a black-owned art gallery on Etsy, specializing in urban, Japanese, and abstract art.
My inspiration for creating such unique pieces comes from my love of hip hop culture and juke joints from back in the day.
My Japanese art is inspired by my deep study of the culture and language during my time living and working in Japan as a Black American.
The creation of abstract art comes from a desire to release my creative energy, which I often do while listening to instrumental and international music.
